CCDC was granted accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) in 1988, the first program in our community and one of the first in the country to achieve this status.  NAEYC commended the staff “for achieving consistently high ratings in all components of the evaluation.”  We have continuously maintained our accreditation since then, achieving three merit extensions during that time, a distinction granted to only 2% of accredited programs.
